Here's a thriller starring Bianca Brigitte Van Damme, daughter of famously pugnacious ballet dancer Jean Claude Van Damme. This isn't an action movie per se, but Bianca still gets a couple opportunities to demonstrate her martial arts skills.

The story has shades of Diabolique and Gaslight. Bianca and her husband go on a vacation at their cabin in the woods. Another couple arrives unexpectedly. After a tense confrontation, it appears that the new couple got tricked into renting the cabin by a scammer. The husband graciously allows them to spend the night. Bianca doesn't appreciate the unwanted company. She was hoping for some private time to work on her mental health, which has been on a downward spiral for the past few months, ever since her grandfather's death.

And then...uh...well, a bunch of shit happens, I guess. Bianca has a few hallucinations to remind us of her precarious mental state. Tensions rise and fall with the unwanted visitors. First we get the Gaslight twist, then we get the Diabolique twist. The climax involves a fair amount of kickboxing.

Why am I even writing this review? I thought I might be able to squeeze a few Van Damme jokes in here. Maybe a crack about BIanca's acting style being more appropriate for Cyborg. That's just a first draft, but something like that could have been fire, right? Unfortunately, I just don't have the energy for it. In Dreams isn't inspiring enough. It's just a bland psychological thriller with a couple of derivative twists. To be honest, Bianca's performance isn't even bad enough to joke about. This movie just...is.

4 out of 10.
