Nicolas wants to take his casual fling with Sedona to the next level. Sedona agrees with one stipulation: she's still allowed to sleep with other men. Why do so many erotic thrillers fail at both the adjective and the noun? Sedona's Rule starts at a flatline and never recovers.

Let's rip the band-aid off this plot summary. Nicolas is so smitten with Sedona, he agrees to let her cuckold him. His friends have strong opinions about it. They babble constantly about sex and hook up with each other in various combinations. Meanwhile, a mysterious voyeur is secretly filming Nicolas and Sedona. In a plot twist that could be seen coming from a vegetative state, one of Nicolas's friends is the voyeur. He invests a baffling amount of effort into what must be the least arousing spank bank ever recorded.

Kristina Korsholm might have been an effective vamp as Sedona if Josh Gillick's script and direction hadn't sabotaged her. Alan Kaiser doesn't get any favors as Nicolas, either. The dialogue is consistently awkward and stagy. The sex scenes are a snore. The violence in the last half hour does nothing to increase the tension. I could have lived without the extreme close-up of Alan Kaiser's O-face.

2 out of 10.

This is what happens when a criminal mastermind is written by an idiot.
The center of his world is a paid escort with more rules of engagement than the Geneva Convention.
This is what happens when a mopey schmuck gets pushed too far.
Of course he's no Sherlock Holmes. His name is Mike Hammer, not Mike Scientific Method.
Just stick to Marple and Poirot.
